Abstract
This study proposed and analyzed a non-linear mathematical model for the dynamics of the effects of screening and migration in horizontal and vertical transmission of HIV/AIDS. The equilibriums point of the model was found and their stability is investigated. The model exhibited two equilibrium namely, the disease-free and the endemic equilibra. It is found that if the effective reproduction number Ro < 1, the disease free equilibrium is locally asymptomatically stable. If Ro ≤ 1, the disease free equilibrium is globally asymptomatically stable. If Ro > 1, a unique equilibrium exist which is locally, asymptotically stable.
